These wedding "Save The Date" postcards tied into the fun, vintage-woodsy theme of our wedding in picturesque Bigfork, Montana. A contrasty duo of kelly green and sea foamy aqua was inspired by some of my favorites things: grass, robin's egg blue-sky, vintage pale green milkglass, and the "little pastel aqua houses" of my youth that I remember so fondly growing up in the Midwest. Slightly western wood block typography and this 1950s palette mix well together despite their apparent "different-ness" - much like Colby and myself.
A pep-rally banner was used to cheer on guests. The mountain imagery was a given. Its wood-cut look plays off the wood blocky letters on the front of the card.
