First, let me introduce myself… I’m Eva Britt… a surface pattern designer from the Midwest and Southwest. I design surface patterns inspired by nature, folk motifs, my paintings and drawings, and “all things cozy”. I blend quirky motifs with references to nature. Much of my inspiration comes from the rugged, wide-open landscapes I’ve lived in and come to deeply love — from the windswept plains of North Dakota to the wild beauty of Alaska, the desert light of Arizona, and the mountain landscapes of Montana.
What is surface pattern design?
Surface pattern design is the process of transforming your artwork into a repeating pattern that can be applied to virtually any product’s surface. Think fabric, wallpaper, gift wrap, stationary, greeting cards, notebooks, book covers, bedspreads, dinnerware, tabletop decor, and more.
